Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 July 2026 · Version 1.0

Summary

Prunify is built to need as little of your data as possible: no accounts, no telemetry, no analytics. This policy explains the little data that flows through the purchase — which is handled by our payment processor, not by us.

1. What the app collects

Nothing. Prunify does not send file names, paths, or file contents off your Mac. It contains no analytics and no crash reporting. The only data stored is local to your machine:

  • A local record of how much you have freed on the free tier (in Application Support and UserDefaults) — never transmitted anywhere.
  • Your license key and activation state, sent only to Gumroad’s license API to activate and validate your purchase.
  • Update checks, via Sparkle, which ask our update server whether a newer version exists. The request carries no personal data beyond what is needed to serve the right update (app version, macOS version).

2. What the purchase collects

Purchases are processed by Gumroad, as Merchant of Record. Gumroad collects your name, email, and payment details directly — we never receive or store your card information. Gumroad uses your email to send your license key and receipt. See Gumroad’s privacy policy for how they handle that data.

Through Gumroad we receive only the minimum needed to validate activations: the license key and the number of activations used. Not your payment details.

3. The website

This site uses no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking cookies.

Two things do happen in your browser:

  • Your language choice (EN or PT-BR) is stored locally, in your own browser’s localStorage, so the site opens in the right language next time. It never leaves your device and identifies no one.
  • The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the technical data inherent to serving a page — including your IP address — for delivery and security purposes. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

4. Your rights

We hold effectively no personal data ourselves; purchase data lives with Gumroad as payment processor, so requests for access, correction, or deletion of purchase data should be directed to them. For anything you believe we hold directly, write to [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time, consistent with applicable law — including the LGPD for residents of Brazil and the GDPR for residents of the EU/UK.

5. Children

Prunify is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age of consent in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

6. Changes

We may update this policy; any material change updates the “Last updated” date above.
